How do I get help from the food bank?

Just come during our open hours (Mon & Fri 1:00-3:30 PM, 3rd Sat 11:00 AM-12:30 PM) and fill out a brief intake form - takes about 5 minutes. You can use our services once per month. No appointment needed!

What do I need to bring for energy assistance?

Bring your recent Avista bill, social security card for the account holder, and proof of address. This assistance is available once per calendar year, up to $400.

Can my whole family get help?

Absolutely! Our services are available to individuals and families. Just include everyone in your household when you fill out the intake form.

Is there a limit to how often I can get help?

Food bank and clothing bank services are available once per month. Energy assistance is once per calendar year. Other services vary - just ask when you visit!

How do I volunteer with GreenHouse?

Call us at (509) 272-4189 or stop by during office hours (Mon/Fri 10:00 AM-3:30 PM, Wed 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, 3rd Sat 10:00 AM-12:30 PM). We have flexible volunteer opportunities including food sorting, clothing organization, and event help. Regular volunteers need a background check.

When do you receive donations?

We will have people ready to receive donations on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 8:30AM-11:30AM. Please let us know if you would like a donation receipt.

What food donations do you accept?

We do accept donations of fresh produce. We can accept meat if it has been processed by a licensed processing facility. We accept donations of dry and canned foods if they are not past their expiration dates.

Can I donate clothing?

Yes! We are gladly accepting clothing that is in wearable shape and free of holes/stains. Please clean clothing before donating.

Can I donate household items?

We currently do not have the space to distribute them. Lost Treasures Thrift Shop will take a limited number of household items.
