SMS Messaging Terms

Program Description

By subscribing to our SMS services, you consent to receive text messages from GreenHouse Food & Clothing Bank regarding food availability, community updates, and other service-related information.

Consent and Opt-In

Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase or service. You must affirmatively opt-in to our SMS program and can opt-out at any time.

Message Frequency and Timing

Message frequency varies by subscription type. Hot List subscribers may receive several messages per week during peak times. Community Update subscribers receive periodic messages about events and opportunities. Messages may be sent during reasonable hours, typically between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM local time.

Opt-Out Instructions

To stop receiving SMS messages, text "STOP" to any message you receive from us. You will receive a confirmation message. You may also contact us directly to unsubscribe.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile carrier for information about your messaging plan and rates.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS service supports major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and other participating carriers. Not all mobile devices or carriers may be supported.

User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Use our services only for their intended purpose
  • Respect our staff, volunteers, and other service recipients
  • Follow all posted rules and guidelines at our facilities

Our services are provided on an "as available" basis. We operate with limited resources and cannot guarantee continuous availability of all services. Service hours, availability, and offerings may change based on volunteer availability, donations, and other factors.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GreenHouse Food & Clothing Bank shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of our services.

Our SMS messaging service complies with A2P (Application-to-Person) 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) regulations and industry standards for business messaging.

Campaign Registration: Our messaging campaigns are registered with mobile carriers for improved deliverability and compliance.

Carrier Guidelines: We adhere to carrier-specific guidelines and filtering requirements to ensure message delivery.

Content Standards: All messages comply with industry content standards and prohibited content guidelines.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid and enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GreenHouse Food & Clothing Bank regarding your use of our services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals.
